Wendell Holdbrook, DMD
From the time Wendell Holdbrook decided to pursue dentistry, it was clear that he wanted to treat children. Dr. Holdbrook uses his mild, warm personality to create a friendly, approachable environment that is inviting to those of all ages. He is calm and easily adapts to each child's needs and manner.
It is not just about his personality. Dr. Holdbrook is highly skilled in the area of pediatric dentistry. In addition to routine services like check-ups and cleanings, Dr. Holdbrook also has a unique talent for restorative dentistry, including tooth-colored fillings and the use of cosmetic strip crowns. Dr. Holdbrook's strength is his successful use of oral conscious sedation to treat medically-compromised and special needs children or those who may be anxious and unable to comfortably cope with dental care.
Dr. Holdbrook received his undergraduate degree from Rutgers University in New Brunswick, New Jersey and Doctor of Medical Dentistry degree from Temple University School of Dentistry in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, earning the "Award for Exceptional Ability in Children's Dentistry." Dr. Holdbrook received his Certificate in Pediatric Dentistry from the Temple University Hospital, Episcopal Division, Pediatric Dentistry Residency Program where he was also awarded the "Best Clinician Award."
Licensed to practice in New Jersey and Pennsylvania, Dr. Holdbrook is a Diplomat with and Certified by The American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. He is also a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD), American Dental Association (ADA), New Jersey Dental Association (NJDA) and Southern Dental Society of New Jersey (SDSNJ).
Dr. Holdbrook is a longtime resident of Southern New Jersey, graduating from Collingswood High School, and currently resides in Cherry Hill, New Jersey. He is active in the community, including his commitment to "Special Smiles," a Philadelphia-based program to provide dental treatment to adults with special needs.
Gerry Corsi Jr., DMD
Dr. Corsi recently established the general practice portion of Holdbrook Dental in the fall of 2010. The overall goal being to provide quality dental care, allowing families to find their entire dental needs under one roof. Dr. Corsi is skilled in restorative dentistry, including white composite fillings, ceramic crowns, veneers, whitening and implant restoration. For the anxious patient he also offers nitrous oxide sedation. For patients with special needs who cannot be seen in the average office setting, Dr. Corsi offers services done under general anesthesia at the Surgical Center of South Jersey.
Dr. Corsi is currently licensed to practice in New Jersey and Pennsylvania, and is a member of the American Dental Association (ADA), New Jersey Dental Association (NJDA) and Southern Dental Society of New Jersey (SDSNJ).
Dr. Corsi attended Archmere Academy in Claymont, DE for high school and continued his education at the University of Richmond where he received his BA in Biology. At the University of Richmond he was part of Beta Beta Beta - National Biological Honor Society and a Bonner Scholar. He later earned his Doctor of Medical Dentistry degree Temple University School of Dentistry in Philadelphia, PA. Upon graduation Dr. Corsi finished in the top 10% of his class and was a member of Omicron Kappa Upsilon.
Dr. Corsi currently resides in Sewell, New Jersey with his wife Andrea. They hope to expand their newly formed family in the near future. He is also an active parishioner of Infant Jesus Parish. In his free time Dr. Corsi enjoys surfing, snowboarding and spending summer weekends with his family in Ocean City, NJ.
Dana Chianese, DMD
Dr. Chianese comes from a long line of dentists, so it was no surprise when she decided to become one herself. Her grandfather, Dr. Thomas Chianese, was an oral surgeon in Toms River, New Jersey and the very first non-medical physician to be chief-of-staff of Community Medical Center. Her father, Dr. Chester Chianese, is a well established general dentist who currently practices in Toms River, New Jersey. It was not until her third year of dental school that she realized her love of children would shape her future in dentistry.
Dr. Chianese was born and raised in Toms River, New Jersey. She received her undergraduate education at Villanova University in Villanova, Pennsylvania and then her dental degree at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in Newark, New Jersey with honors. Dr. Chianese completed a general practice residency at Monmouth Medical Center in Long Branch, New Jersey where she was chief resident and awarded the Dr. Mark McIntyre Memorial Award for Clinical Excellence in Dentistry. During this residency, she receive additional training in all specialities of dentistry by some of the best specialist in the region. Dr. Chianese completed her pediatric dental residency at Temple Hospital/Episcopal Division in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Dr. Chianese was once again made chief resident by her attendings and awarded the Episcopal Hospital Pediatric Dentistry Achievement Award for displaying the most outstanding contributions to the residency program. Dr. Chianese has passed the written portion of her pediatric board certification and will be eligible to sit for the oral portion of the exam in September 2012.
Dr. Chianese currently lives in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Debra Pisarcik, DMD
Dr. Pisarcik received her bachelor degree in science from Penn State University. In 2007, she received her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Temple University School of Dentistry in Philadelphia, PA. She is currently licensed to practice in both New Jersey and Pennsylvania and is also a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD).
Since graduating dental school, Dr. Pisarcik has been practicing general dentistry exclusively on children. Committed to providing the best care possible, she decided to further her education and specialize in pediatric dentistry. She began a pediatric residency program at Episcopal Hospital in Philadelphia, PA in 2010 and will finish in June of 2012. Shortly after completing the program, she will obtain a permit for conscious oral sedation.
Dr. Pisarcik is a longtime resident of Pennsylvania and currently resides in Philadelphia, PA with her husband Bill.
